Megan and Eric are a super sweet, highly adventurous couple - often traveling for intense bike races in different spots around the country. It’s this love of the road that first brought them up to Sonoma County, biking with friends. They knew they wanted to get married in the north bay countryside but something about a winery didn’t quite fit their adventurous, wild spirits.
Enter Chileno Valley Ranch, one of our favorite spots in all of California. Owned and run by the hugely kind but also bad-ass farmer lady that is Sally Gale, this working ranch and apple orchard hosts a very small number of weddings each year, and we love them for it. While they don’t spell out their criteria for the ideal Chileno Valley couples, it always ends up being the ones we love the most: sweet, kind, nature-loving, family-oriented, drama-free people that look for vendors as human as they are professional. There’s really no place like it.
Megan’s love of peonies allowed us to flood the wedding with ones grown right at our farm just 20 minutes away. We were so happy with the results, and loved getting to work with Megan and Eric’s great families to put together this beautiful day.
